ABOUT FATHER RUTLER
Pastor
He was born in 1945 and reared in the Episcopal tradition in New Jersey and New York. After becoming the youngest Episcopal rector in the country when he headed the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, he obtained several degrees from numerous universities, including the Pontifical Doctorate in Sacred Theology.
he has made documentary films in the United States and England, contributed to scholarly journals, and has published over 30 books on theology, history, cultural issues and the lives of the saints.

He was appointed by Cardinal Dolan.
PREACHER
He became a preacher for the students, faculty, and townspeople of Oxford. In 1988, he was awarded the degree Master of Studies from the University of Oxford.
ORDAINED TO THE PRIESTHOOD
He was ordained in New York at St. Patrick's Cathedral by my Eminence Terence Cardinal Cooke.
ORDAINED TO THE DIACONATE
He was ordained by my Eminence William Cardinal Baum in Rome.
